- The Deanery group has been invited to hold a training session on the Living Wage. Gail Berger, the Eco/Social Justice representative from Gloria Dei Lutheran, will be coordinating this.
- The group is working to make and maintain contact with!other groups with similar interests. During the Spring, the group will make arrangements to show the DVD “On the Line” which is a independent video made by 2 North Shore men who travelled the route of the Northern Gateway (Enbridge) pipeline from the Oil Sands in Alberta to Kitimat and the waters of the Pacific.

Primate and National Aboriginal Bishop call for Prayer Vigil
Archbishop Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, and National Indigenous Anglican Bishop Mark MacDonald are calling for a prayer vigil in support of the meeting of national Indigenous leaders with Prime Minister Stephen Harper January 11.

Archbishop Hambidge to lead Jan 26 Stewardship event

SGDC is pleased to announced that the first of the series GOD’S ABUNDANCE EVERYDAY is being led by Archbishop Douglas Hambidge. He has spent much of his retirement (chuckle here) teaching stewardship across the continent. 25 copies of his popular new book, “The S Word” will be available for purchase at the seminar at a cost of $15 each.
This event is conveniently located at St. Andrew’s Langley (20955 Old Yale Road) for those parishes in the eastern part of the diocese. Bring your parish team and learn from a Master Steward on Saturday, January 26, 2013 beginning at 9:30 am. You can go directly to the registration page here:
