The Sound of Music and The Selfish Giant Auditions

The Diocesan Arts Ministry is pleased to announce that the North Shore mountains will be alive with The Sound of Music in 2014! The team which produced Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is partnering with St. John the Evangelist and the other Anglican / Lutheran churches of the North Vancouver Region to put together a new production of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical.

Auditions will be held at St. John’s on January 11th 2014, and at St. Philip’s in Dunbar on January 18th from 12pm – 4pm. We are looking to build a cast of adults, teenagers and children to build a great intergenerational production. No experience necessary! The cast will work together as a community to develop each other’s skills. Rehearsals will be held each week on Saturday afternoons, and the performances will be across the final week of May 2014!

We are also building a back stage crew and we would love to hear from you if you have gifts to offer in SETS, COSTUMES, LIGHTING, SOUND and FRONT OF HOUSE.

To book an audition, or to offer your back stage talents, get in touch with the producers at: anglican.arts@gmail.com
