In September, we have the following events:

Tuesday, September 10: Spiritual Practices Group
Using Barbara Brown Taylor’s book An Altar in the World as a guide, this group will meet monthly at St Catherine’s starting at 10 am. For more information contact Lynne McNaughton at lynne@mcnaughton.org or call 604 780 1420.

Thursday, September 12: Pastoral Care Support Tea

Thursday, September 12: Regional Council meeting at 7:00 pm
With representatives from each of the North Vancouver Anglican and Lutheran worshipping communities. Meeting this month at Gloria Dei, 1110 Gladstone Drive. Contact is Alison Watt, Chair, alisonjeanwatt@outlook.com.
 
Saturday, September 14: Community Engagement Team meeting
All North Vancouver Anglican and Lutheran ‘worshipping communities’ are invited to participate with at least one “rep” from each community. 9 am to 4 pm at St John the Evangelist, 220 West 8th Street, North Vancouver. Contact Patrick Blaney at priest.sjnv@telus.net or 604 986 1151.

Wednesday, September 18: Deanery sponsored TRC liturgy
At St David of Wales, 2475 Franklin Street, Vancouver in support of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission events held in Vancouver this week. This is one of a series of evening Eucharist liturgies to be offered at St David’s. To get involved in the deanery service, contact Stephen Muir at priest@stagnes.ca or call 604 987 0432.

Saturday, September 21: North Vancouver TRC service
7:30 pm at St John the Evangelist, 220 West 8th Street, North Vancouver. In support of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission events held in Vancouver this week. Contact Patrick Blaney at priest.sjnv@telus.net or 604 986 1151.

Sunday, September 22: Walk for Reconciliation
Starts at 8 am with a special diocesan Eucharist service at Christ Church Cathedral with National Anglican Indigenous Bishop Mark MacDonald, followed by a 4k Walk. Please register at www.reconciliationcanada.ca

Saturday, September 28: Emergency Preparedness Workshop
9 am to noon at St Agnes, 530 East 12th Street, North Vancouver.  A practical workshop about how to prepare for an emergency such as an earthquake or industrial accident. Open to all. Contact Shannon Trevor-Smith c/o agnesnv@telus.net.
